Watchtower Survival Pro is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide emergency preparedness services:
- Account Information: Email address and user preferences when you create an account
- Location Data: When you enable location services to provide local emergency alerts and threat assessments
- Emergency Data: Checklist completion data, preparedness scores, and survival guide progress stored locally on your device
- App Usage Statistics: Performance metrics and feature usage to improve the app experience
- Subscription Data: Billing and purchase history processed through Apple's App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat for subscription management
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for technical support
- Device or Other Identifiers: Device and app identifiers (such as installation IDs and subscription SDK identifiers) collected by WATCHTOWER and our service providers—including Firebase and RevenueCat—to authenticate users, manage subscriptions, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and operate app features. We do not use these identifiers for advertising.
- User-Generated Content: Community posts, comments, and alerts you choose to submit through the app
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide emergency preparedness services:
- Deliver location-specific emergency alerts and weather warnings
- Calculate personalized preparedness scores and risk assessments
- Provide relevant survival guides and emergency procedures for your area
- Enable offline access to critical safety information
- Process subscription payments and manage your Pro account
- Provide customer support and technical assistance
- Improve app performance and develop new features
Subscription and Payment Processing
- Payment Processing: Subscription payments are processed through Apple's App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat
- Billing Information: We do not store credit card information; this is handled securely by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat
- Subscription Management: We track your subscription status to provide Pro features
- Purchase History: Subscription purchase and renewal status may be shared with RevenueCat and the applicable app store to manage your account
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled through Apple's App Store or Google Play according to their policies
Location Services
Location services are essential for emergency preparedness features. We use your location to provide timely alerts about threats in your area, but this data is not shared with third parties or used for advertising purposes.
Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: Most of your data is stored locally on your device, including survival guides, checklists, and personal preparedness information
- Cloud Storage: Account information and preferences are stored securely using Firebase
- Data Encryption: All data transmission is encrypted using industry-standard protocols
- Data Retention: We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide services or as required by law
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase: For user authentication, community features, and data synchronization (may collect device or installation identifiers)
- RevenueCat: For subscription management, billing, and purchase validation (may collect device or app identifiers)
- Apple App Store: For payment processing and app distribution on iOS
- Google Play: For payment processing and app distribution on Android
- Google Maps: For map display (may transmit device or instance information tied to our API key)
- Weather Services: For emergency alert data (location data may be shared)
International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately.
