An alert without context is a panic button. An alert beside a map, your checklist status, and offline procedures is a decision aid.

What to do when an alert hits
Read the hazard type and timing. Check Alert Map for proximity. Decide bug-out vs shelter using your prewritten plan. Open the matching Survival Guide if skills are rusty. Update Checklist gaps after the event while memory is fresh.
