EMP talk online often skips to Faraday cages and skips pipes freezing, insulin warming, and ATMs becoming modern sculpture. Start with blackout competence; treat exotic EMP as an extreme of the same problem: no power, stressed logistics.
The Carrington Event (1859) is the celebrity solar storm. The 2003 Northeast blackout is the modern “oops, fifty million people” reminder. Texas 2021 is the winterized-grid cautionary tale.
